“Sakshi Maharaj in UP is depicting similarly as Modi did in Gujarat” : Misa Bharti

Patna : Misa Bharti, RJD’s Member of Parliament-Rajya Sabha and  daughter of Lalu Prasad tweeted after Sakshi Maharaj’s controversial statement on Muslim population.

Sakshi’s remarks were clearly targeted at Muslims, although he didn’t name the religion while making them. His exact words were: “The Hindu is not responsible for the population explosion (in India). It is those who keep four wives and produce 40 children.

The Meerut Police on Saturday filed an FIR against BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj, who on Friday controversially said — without naming Muslims — that those entitled to marry four wives and have 40 children are responsible for the country’s population explosion. This was a clear target to Muslims. Police filed the FIR under Section 298 of IPC (hurting religious sentiments), among others.

Many politicians have condemned the venomous remarks by Shakshi Maharaj to incite hatreds between communities.

Misa Bharti wrote in her tweet “BJP MP doing what they are assigned to do in UP, once same was CM Modi did when he was in Gujarat”.

The upcoming UP elections are very important, election commission already declared on 4th January that no polarisation or hateful speeches will be allowed and violators will be notified.
