KANPUR: Intra-family feud has reached a crescendo. Rampal-Akhilesh duo has been expelled from the party for six years. The party workers are shouting mixed slogans. This triangular tussle has nearly indicated of the Samajwadi Party’s disintegration. This kind of Samajwad is unique. Stalwarts of the socialist principles must be restless with the dramatic turns which have surfaced now.
The SP chief Mulayam Singh, accused Ram Gopal of indulging in anti-party activities and said that he was weakening the party ahead of the assembly elections. Ram Gopal Yadav had, earlier in the day, called a national convention of the Samajwadi Party on January 1 following a rift over the list of SP candidates finalised by Mulayam Singh for assembly polls.

The SP supremo also hit out at his son and CM of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav for siding with Ram Gopal Yadav in the party infighting.” Akhilesh does not understand that Ram Gopal is trying to destroy his future,” Mulayam said.
The state has turned into an arena of political dangal suddenly. Amidst all this development the BJP and the BSP will try to make most of this drama. Mulayam Singh’s experience seemed to have failed at this point of time. BJP has issued an statment saying this drama was pre-planned by SP to devide people of Uttar pradesh.
The party appears to be groping around the Young Turks who are as reports suggest strong enough to exert pressure tactics and the veterans are assumed to bow down before the boiling blood of their respective scions. There is no doubt in it.
Immediately after the suspension of Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal, spokesperson of Samajwadi Party Juhi Singh has resigned from the post.

Assembly elections are just round the corner so such a sudden situation impels the politicians to come to terms in the larger benefits of the party. Their total involvement as directed by Akhilesh Yadav is sufficient for them. Most surprisingly Akhilesh and Shivpal have been struggling for power for the past half-an-year which positively does not augur well for the party’s prospects. Even the party workers are disturbed at this animosity.
Netaji is doing what he deems appropriate for the party. But his popular son is not appreciating Amar Singh’s influence. He appears a little bit annoyed with the Netaji’s denial towards an alliance with the Congress Party.
At this point of time speculations are swirling sufficiently but a leader like Mulayam somewhere faltered in defeating his adversaries in this tussle. It is obvious in the case of non-availability of the ticket the political worker turns out furious and aggressive. This is what is seen in these days. The party workers were confused with the prevailing situation. They were girding up their loins for the elections.
Was all the imbroglio centred around ticket distribution? The immediate cause propped up due to this reason at the first sight. But the electoral battle will now be quite tough for the party.
